Again, these little hitches don’t bug me – but if I had to restructure it, it might look something like:

See [xx] unread topic(s), [xx] new topic(s), or browse other topics in…

I don’t think that will be easy to translate to all languages. What about languages that have multiple plurals?

The German translation uses something similar: “1 unread topic and 1 new topic remaining.”
