Has this problem gone away now with the latest update? It does seem serious and is not something I have heard of before. Are you sure you haven’t done any customizing?
Maybe try using foundation or horizon theme but not sure how that could cause the problem.
Or perhaps try a different web browser or device? Do all users on your site report the same problem? Maybe you have a browser extension that is interfering with Discourse.
