In the Support category, sandra.mccollum reported a new issue where image uploads (jpg, webp, png) result in broken links, while PDF uploads work fine. This occurred after a failed GUI and CLI upgrade attempt that led to a white screen, prompting a restoration from a recent snapshot. renato suggested checking Markdown mode, browser console errors, the instance commit version, and inspecting the broken HTML element, noting the upgrade failure might be related.
sandra.mccollum later confirmed the issue was resolved: an update to the MaxMind country block had inadvertently blocked access to their CDN provider, Bunny.net. She noted the problem also occurred in Markdown mode and shared console deprecation warnings related to site initialization and user options. Although she uses Bunny.net, she had never encountered issues with them before. The root cause was identified as the MaxMind update interfering with Bunny’s access.
New issue now, cannot upload, I only tried images, tried jpg and webp, just shows broken link. Tried png and can see it momentarily, then immediate broken link. Any thoughts on this issue? It must have started quite recently. I can upload pdf’s however. (The existing older images all seem to be okay, still showing appropriately)
Earlier this morning I tried to upgrade via gui, then only has white screen, so tried cli, same thing, sp I restored from a very recent snapshot. I am not sure if that is part of this problem or not, I probably upload images a week ago, without issue.
Glad i thought of bunny. Resolved, updated maxmind country block whacked bunny’s access. This may be same issue with the white screen update. I can’t try that again until Saturday.

Same issue in Markdown.

I am not sure what I am looking for when I inspect the broken link, in terms of the html.
Not to muddy the waters, but I just remembered I use bunny.net for cdn, if that could matter, but I have never had any issue with them in well over a year and actually forgot I use them.
