If I reply to a long topic with a few select quotes, it seems like I get a button on each quote to jump to the quoted post. But this button jumps to the top of the post, not the part that is quoted. Is there any way to jump to a particular part or a plugin that adds this?

The discussion addresses the limitation of the ‘jump to quoted post’ feature, which currently navigates users to the top of the target post rather than the specific quoted text. singpolyma asks if there is a native option or plugin to jump directly to the highlighted quote within long topics. In response, chapoi identifies this as an existing quality-of-life improvement and directs users to vote on the corresponding feature request.
There is an existing feature request for this, so I recommend to add your vote to it:
I agree it would be a nice QoL improvement
