Repro Steps:
- Subfolder Install
- Visit Tags page
- Click on any Tag
- Click on the tag name again in the Breadcrumb/Title
Expected:
You stay on the same page
Actual:
You are redirected to the example.com/tags/tagname (note the lack of subfolder)
The issue is with the Tag Breadcrumb not respecting the subfolder path. cpradio reported that when clicking on a tag name in the breadcrumb, the URL redirects to the root path (example.com/tags/tagname) instead of staying on the same page with the subfolder path.
cpradio provided more clarification and screenshots, showing that the issue occurs when clicking on the tag name from the Tags page. The problem is related to the tag link providing a relative URL.
After cpradio provided more context, neil was able to identify the issue and pushed a fix.

I can’t reproduce this in a dev env or a production site like Sitepoint. You mean clicking one of the tag names here?
Ah, sorry, let me make this more clear, wrong Tag page.
Click on Tags from the Hamburger Menu, then click on a Tag
URL should be similar to Topics tagged docker
Click on the tag name
It seems to be related to it providing a relative URL

Same page/URL at SP
Aha, I didn’t even know that was a link! I pushed a fix.
