The discussion revolves around logging out without using the user menu. tophee asked if there’s an alternative method, as they try to avoid touching the user menu when impersonating a user. pfaffman suggested using the keyboard shortcut ZZ to log out. tophee was surprised that this shortcut wasn’t listed in the keyboard shortcuts list, but cpradio pointed out that it is indeed listed.
tophee suggested that the shortcut list could be improved by listing functions before shortcuts, making it easier to search for specific actions like “Logout”. They also mentioned trying the shortcut Ctrl + Z, which didn’t work, but notriddle noted that Ctrl + Z is actually the shortcut for “Undo”.
Is there any way I can logout without touching the user menu?
The reason for this strange question is simply that when I impersonate a user, I try not to touch their user menu if it has any new notifications. But it looks like I need to in order to log out. Or is there a way?
Maybe just delete the session cookie? But how do I find that one?
No idea why I didn’t see that. I checked several times. Maybe because it’s kind of an outlier visually. I wonder if it would be easier to read that shortcut list if the functions were listed first and the shortcuts after? Cause you obviously search for the word “Logout” in my case, not Shift + Z
No, the obvious one would be Ctrl + Z, which I did indeed try.
