It sounds like you may have missed the rate limiting setting max consecutive replies.

Yes, I have that set to a high number and it still wouldn’t allow my user to post a second post on her topic.

Can you post a picture of your settings and a picture of the errors that your members are seeing? Without that information we’re flying a bit blind.
