The discussion Bottom of the user menu goes out of screen revolves around an issue where the user menu is not fully visible, with the scroll and dismiss buttons being out of the screen. a2937 believes it’s a SCSS issue causing the menu height to be too big and provides screenshots of the current and expected behavior.
After trying safe mode, a2937 determines the issue is caused by the forum theme. CocoQuark suggests this is a fortunate discovery, as it allows a2937 to track down and solve the issue.
Further investigation by a2937 reveals that the variable --header-offset is set in safe mode but not in regular mode. CocoQuark finds this behavior weird, as the variable should be calculated regardless of the theme. a2937 considers switching to a simpler theme and potentially switching from SASS to regular CSS.
The user menu is not fully visible. The buttons for scrolling it down and dismiss the notifications is out of the screen. It’s not possible to scroll to them.
I believe there is a SCSS issue causing the height of the menu to be too big.
Okay there’s something a little odd. In safe mode the variable --header-offset is set to “64px”. In regular mode, it’s not set to a value. Judging from the PR, this is the intended outcome and I need to define it on my theme?
