If you scroll up far enough in a topic you have read to regain context, then its sometimes hard to get to the last post you read.

Both of these places could be added as shortcuts in the pop-up on the progress bar:
- First Unread Post
- Last Read Post

Maybe doing both of those is overkill… The first one seems more useful.

Here are a few mockups:

I personally find all these confusing. I don’t want to end up with one of those interfaces that’s just really full of butons.

3 is cleaner but confusing as most of the time that field is pre-populated with the current post.

I think there is likely a better solution to this problem.

I personally think this work should be on hold till we implement a custom scrollbar.

A custom scroll bar has a ton of other advantages, it can use colors to denote areas that are unread, it can display month name or year to the left of the scrollbar as you scroll around. It can be virtual so it can encompass the full topic. It allows us to control scroll position without complex browser hacks.

Piuttosto che rendere più facile impedire di saltare alla risposta, sono più favorevole a rendere più facile saltare indietro a dove si era, il che sarebbe utile anche in altri scenari.

Alcuni argomenti precedenti su quell’idea qui:

• La posizione ricordata dell’argomento dovrebbe essere il post “Primo non letto” invece del post “Ultimo letto”
• Link al primo post non letto?
• Possibilità di saltare al primo post non letto nel Navigatore Argomenti / Barra di Progresso

Quindi qualcosa come l’indicatore “Indietro” che appare quando si legge un argomento a metà e si torna più tardi?

Sì, qualcosa del genere.

Penso che potrebbe diventare rumoroso per alcuni, quindi i dettagli del design potrebbero aver bisogno di qualche iterazione. Forse dovrebbe essere ignorabile, o forse viene automaticamente ignorato dopo aver lasciato l’argomento, o forse è “segna come non letto da qui”… ma qualcosa del genere, sì.

Grazie per aver condiviso la tua idea, mantengo ancora la mia visione infantile. Penso che più opzioni possiamo fornire agli utenti, meglio è, piuttosto che codificare una funzione specifica. La posizione ricordata dell’argomento dovrebbe essere il post “Primo Non Letto” OPPURE il post “Ultimo Letto”, e gli utenti dovrebbero essere in grado di scegliere ciò che preferiscono

Forse dovremmo unirli allora, dato che è essenzialmente la stessa richiesta di funzionalità?
