I had a question about the interaction between these site settings:
• about page hidden groups
• about page extra groups
From my admin account, it appears that if a group is listed in about page hidden groups, its user are shown on /about when the user is a member of a group listed in about page extra groups.
I have not yet verified the view as a non-admin user, so I may be misunderstanding the exact behaviour seen by regular users.
What I am trying to ask is whether the intended behaviour is:
• groups in about page hidden groups are hidden from everyone, always
or whether it would make sense for:
• users in groups listed in about page extra groups to still be able to see those otherwise-hidden groups on /about
Example use case:
• admins in about page extra groups
• another group in about page hidden groups
Possible expected behaviour:
• normal users do not see the hidden group
• admins do see it
Is the current behaviour intended, and has anyone already requested an override like this?
