After update "officials components" no longer working

Hello

I just updated to the latest version of Discourse:2026.3.0-latest (9d43e1f314)

Several theme components and plugins are no longer working.

Since some is “official,” could there be an issue in the latest Discourse releases?

The non-functional components are:

  • Topic Card (official)
  • Icon Header Links (official)
  • User Card Directory (official)
  • category header
  • Featured Lists
  • progress Bar

And the plugin: Location works only partially.

I see an error on the site in the browser console:

Uncaught (in promise) Error: Could not find module `discourse/lib/posts-with-placeholders` imported from `discourse/plugins/discourse-journal/discourse/initializers/journal-post`

I believe this comes from Journal Plugin, which is currently listed as broken — if you remove that plugin, I believe the components should start working again.

You can confirm it’s a plugin issue by using safe mode to disable plugins https://forums.ffjdr.org/?safe_mode=no_plugins — when viewing the site this way the components appear to work.
