AI Auto Response to All and Any Post

Is there a way to use “ChatGPT Plus” and for EVERY post the Admin, with intelligence, would respond to any and every post with a comment that:

1. Relates to what was posted in a personable and friendly format

2. Finishing its comment with an actionable tip and question (so it engages a comment back and interaction?)

I feel this is something that would be SUPER helpful to increase time, engagement, interaction on the Forum in general.

Ideas?

Here is a general method to set this up:

1. Install and Configure Discourse AI Plugin: Ensure that the Discourse AI plugin is installed on your platform.
2. Create AI Personas: Use the AI bot’s persona feature to model the type of responses you want. For example, personas can respond in specific tones or styles, simulating knowledge in particular domains.
3. Set Automation Rules: Use the Discourse Automation plugin to trigger these AI personas to respond to specific posts automatically, e.g., when creating a new post or replying in certain categories.
4. Customization: Configure the AI responses further by using tailored prompts and filtering conditions to align with user expectations and reduce potential noise.

This is technically correct however, I recommend extreme caution

Just because you can do something, it does not mean you should. People head to forums cause they want to interact with people. If you transform your forum into a different space where all human and robot content is mish-mashed together you have a high chance of destroying your online space. Whatever is done here needs to be done extremely deliberately and carefully.

We chose the whisper route on meta cause it saves us a bit of time when triaging responses, it does not replace us and has minimal and properly decorated bleed through into content on the forum.

@sam I could not see it though. Sorry. Also, I think I would need to install this plugin to make this happen, If I understand this correctly.

I agree, the idea on this is to be VERY personable and ONLY on some categories that people have FAQs etc… would be exrtemely helpful to respond automatically and in a relevant and contextual way.

I just don’t know how to do it yet.
