Any chance pre-filled topic via URL will eventually support tags?

Continuing the discussion from Compose a new pre-filled topic via URL:

Creating topics via URL is awesome! Just what the doctor ordered… but, we’d really like to be able to include &tags=foo, bar, baz in the URL. I realize that having tags in a plugin probably makes the solution more complicated.

Is this on anyone’s radar?

Thanks!

Not sure, you’d need to ask @techapj and he can add it to his list.

Heya @techAPJ,

How much :beers: will it take to add a tags param to the awesome pre-filled topic via URL feature?

Any luck on this feature? Is this feature still in the very end of the backlog?:persevere:
I tried to do it myself by mimicking https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/3434 but failed.
It seems requires a decent understanding of the tagging plugin in order to implement this feature.

Possible, tags was pulled into core in 1.6 so it will be much more closely integrated.

Is there a timeline for this feature?
Just want to know a rough timeframe for this and I can plan my development accordingly.

I will try to get it done next week.

That’s so great!
Really appreciate it!

Composing a new (pre-filled) topic via URL now supports (multiple) tags! :sunny:

Example:
