I have a user reporting an issue with unassigned topics remaining in their profile menu. Their report is below; they’re running Safari and Firefox and report issues with both browsers. I’ve included a redacted screenshot they provided.
I attempted to reproduce and it worked just fine for me using Chrome. I asked the user to refresh their browser, but the issue persisted.
Description
In the global profile menu, the assign list feature doesn’t seem to update the list of assignments after unassigning myself. I went through the “Assigned” screen (/u/username/activity/assigned) and cleared my assignments, but the stale assignments still appear.
Steps to reproduce
- You may need to recently remove assignments for this to occur
- Remove any outstanding assignments on your user
- Click the profile badge in the top right to open the profile menu
- Click the Assign List nav item in the profile menu
Expected behavior
- The Assign list pane should be empty or display a “no assignments” message
Actual behavior
- Stale assignments that were recently deleted still appear in the panel
