The mobile message view is very minimal, i.e. there are no avatars and no usernames, making it hard to navigate. It would be nice if this would be up to par with the rest of the Discourse UI.
This could be solved by a theme component but it would require overriding a template and that is fragile hard to maintain, so I am proposing that this is fixed in core.

I can’t seem to figure out why they were hidden to begin with, perhaps to save some space? Being consistent makes sense to me, and it simplifies things a little bit. I’ve opened a PR:
