I’d like to manage our FabLab visitors and members with Discourse. Especially those, who’ve got an machinery introduction for certain devices. Each introduction should expire after exact one year. So we’re able to provide refresh courses for them and have an overview of the users with profile picture and so on. last but not least, we’d like to remind them to stay in contact with us, to continue.
My questions are:
- How would you solve this with Discourse (best way of practice)? – Sort them into groups and automatically give them badges? (by year, e.g. 3D Printing, CNC milling)
- Is it possible to setup a sql query for certain awards to expire after a year?
- How can we remind our members to refresh their skills related to the last introduction (e.g. > 10 months)
And as an extra point: We need to require profile pictures for those people who’ve got a introduction. That’s actually very important to us, to avoid unauthorised access to the machinery. How can we manage this related to the award / group system?
