repro steps:

  1. search something
  2. click the :negative_squared_cross_mark: button in the search box

i’ve reproduced this on Meta in Chrome desktop and Safari on iOS desktop view.

  1. do a search and view the results list.
  2. click the search icon to do another search
  3. click the X button
