I was able to reproduce this on a personal cloud instance (under safe mode) and here on Meta. I’m using Chrome Desktop on Windows 11.
Description:
The clear search action is saving an empty entry on the search history. It does not persist after a reload, so it’s a frontend state bug.
Reproducible steps:
- Do a search
- Hit return key two times to enter the listing page
- Open the search bar again, it will have your search keywords already
- Click the X button to clear
- An empty entry appears in the recent searches list
