I was drafting a reply to someone, but I got distracted and somehow managed to post it as a separate topic…
I quickly went to the edit view, copied the source of the post, then deleted the post, then went back to create the reply i meant to… only to be met with this error.
i found the workaround of just adding <!-- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa --> to the bottom of my post, but that’s far from ideal.
You have posted this in support. What kind of advice do you expect?
I understand the argument that the other post is deleted, but since it can be undeleted for 24 hours, this could also be abused. Spammers can delete the post, post the same text again, and undelete the first post.
By default, the unique post mins setting is 5 minutes. That’s an okay trade-off between preventing accidental or spammy double posts. But you can adjust that setting to your community’s needs.
