Iā€™m in New Zealand (NZ) and can potentially help with setup and management in English-speaking forums anywhere.

I understand that there is likely to be little opportunity for Discourse in the education sector here but there may be some in the health sector.

  • NZ schools generally have software to communicate with their communities. The government has already provided 99.7% of schools with fibre internet at gigabit speeds. Electronic examinations are being rolled out from this year.

  • NZ Health providers also have priority access to fibre. But there are more gaps in their community software.

I will gladly give my time to help any educators or health workers build out their community from a technical perspective, and manage it thereafter. Iā€™m happy to do all the heavy lifting in that regard, but am also happy to educate as I think understanding Discourse really helps communities make the most of it.

Iā€™ve been working with educational institutions on and off for the past 12 years, and also have some experience working with customers in medical fields.

This developing crisis has already impacted my work arrangements for the foreseeable future, so I have a reasonable amount of time to offer. In terms of time zones I will happily work with anyone in the UK or US.
