Can I allow groups to be mentioned by other groups?

I asked for this a long time ago when in a different role. It seems like it might be possible but it is potentially complicated. Needs mock-ups.

Limit group messaging and @mentioning by trust level or group(s)

Currently, admins can set who can message and @mention a group and only choose from Everyone, Nobody, Only moderators and Admins and Only group members, moderators and admins. I’d suggest adding trust levels to this list and/or a separate field to enter in group names manually. That way we can prevent abuse and also set some groups to still be private without giving e.g. staff moderator privileges. [image]

Hello team Could you please advise if we can add a feature to make it possible to allow for a group of users to be able to mention another group. For example, within my platform I want the group of tutors (for example nd001-1mac-tutors) to be able to mention a group of students whenever they create new beneficial topics for them (for example nd001-1mac-students) but not the opposite way because I don’t want students to abuse this option.
