Cannot add or change category restricted tags to topic on review page

Hello,

I noticed on review page I cannot add or change tags to topic. If I try to search tags it keeps empty the results. I use approve post count site setting for to review new users topics/posts.

Repro:

1. Create a topic to send it to review.
2. On the review page click the edit button below topic.
3. Try to add or change tags

Let’s try for a repro

• Set approve post count to 100
• Set test-user as TL1
• Create topic with TL1 test_user
• Review topic in queue as Admin
• Press ‘Edit’
• The tags are available to me in the dropdown, and are set when selected and approved:

Do you have any plugins or theme components that may be having an effect? Any errors, etc? Maybe some restricted tag groups?

Yeah that is maybe the key We use tag groups and restricted those tag groups to categories.
The tag group settings

On /c/category-name/edit/tags page. I add the tag group [Q&A] to the category.

On review page

Maybe it only happens with the category restricted tags. Let’s try to remove the tag group from category settings.

Yes That was it. So I think it only affect the category restricted tags.

I think I can replicate that

• Create tag group (Food)
• Add tags to it (banana, cheese, chicken, toad-in-the-hole)
• Add tag group to “Restrict these tag groups to this category:” in the relevant test category Tags page
  
  
• Set approve post count to 100
• Set test-user as TL1
• Create topic with TL1 test_user in category with restricted tag group
• Review topic in queue as Admin
• Press ‘Edit’
  
  
• The tags from the Food tag group are not available for me to select:
