Is there a reason I can’t unlike a comment on a post on a custom discourse forum? When I mouseover it has the cancel/not available symbol ⃠ as the mouse icon.

You can unlike for a certain amount of time (a grace period) and then the like is locked in. Otherwise you could grief people forever by constantly liking and unliking their posts for months or even years…
