The Category Description not working properly issue persists, where the typed description text does not appear at the top of the Category page. ked tried forcing a refresh with no luck, and pfaffman found that the category description only displays if there is a category image. Edits to the description may show up in the topic and JSON but not in the category display, and sometimes, old versions of the text are displayed. nathank confirmed this issue and shared a workaround that resolves the problem.

If it helps, attempting to edit currently in place description text does not flow through to the Category page either.
I’ve seen this one several sites.
The category description is displayed on the category page only if there is a category image.
Edits to the category description topic show up in the topic and even in the json for the category, but not in the category display.
When I have edited from A to B to C I have seen B get displayed after some period of time, edit the text to C and then see text A again on reload.
This seems like a bug but I can’t figure out just what it is.
