Checking my version, rejoining tests-passed

I think I’m on the dev channel:

Can I just check with someone with more experience how to join the default tests-passed channel please?

As far as I know I just wait until 3.4 is released, then just change my app.yaml from ‘#version: tests-passed’ to ‘version: tests-passed’ and rebuild, right?

If you are on stable right now I cannot recommend a move to tests-passed atm. There is a lot of change going on, particularly with the Front End so it might be worth waiting until that’s settled down and simply wait patiently for 3.4 stable, especially if you are a heavy user of third party Theme Components and Plugins.

Otherwise it’s just a case of updating the branch in app.yml and rebuilding. But that’s not something you can easily reverse.

[solved] How to avoid getting -dev versions when updating?

All versions of tests-passed have the -dev suffix at the end since that was added to allow easier differentiation between “beta” releases and the test-passed branch. So the suffix doesn’t mean anything changed in terms of whether the software is ready for use in production.
