Composer on mobile is fullscreen even when keyboard is closed

Here on Meta, the composer (even for replies) is fullscreen even when the keyboard is closed, not half-screen as it used to be:

This direction is intentional, although still a design experiment.

Do you (or anybody else) have any concerns with this approach?

You can still minimize the composer on the double-caret-down top-right button.

The animation to put the composer at half the size is jarring and this state prevents us from using a keyboard-less view as a preview on the rich editor.

I see, but I liked being able to see the text of the post Iā€™m replying to, so I can respond to that part/quote, etc.
