Could we consider adding a nested comments plugin to our forum? It would be even better if Discourse already has this feature built-in.

Take a look at the example in the image. When I see an interesting comment or one that differs from my opinion, I want to share my thoughts. Having a nested reply feature would make this so much easier. Right now, even when multiple people respond to the same comment, it’s hard to tell how many have replied because everything just appears in chronological order. This makes the whole thread very long, and I have to keep scrolling down to see all the posts. It’s not really ideal for browsing lengthy threads.

Yes you could. You can develop almost anything, within reason.

This will get you part of the way there:

I’ve installed this plugin, but it doesn’t work as expected. It prompts me that an update is needed. However, both my forum and this plugin should be of the latest version. What should I do?

please clarify what isn’t working and what you were expecting

[Admin Notice] One of your themes or plugins needs updating for compatibility with upcoming Discourse core changes. (id:discourse.post-menu-widget-overrides) Identified plugin: ‘discourse-journal’
It seems that the plugin fails to take effect due to compatibility issues. This is a prompt from the forum.

No, it’s a warning, not an error, and the warning is for compatibility with upcoming changes.

I stated the plugin might get you some of the way there. I didn’t say it wouldn’t require more effort on your part.

I’m not the maintainer. You could resolve this warning yourself by submitting a PR, or consider Marketplace to find a developer to help you.

In any case you should post on the plugin Topic.

I believe this error is only shown to admins on the interface so you have some time.
