Create a pop-up with form that populates User Fields

All new members to my forum can answer the new user fields at sign-up - that’s fine. I’m exploring ways I can encourage older members to enter this info into their accounts.

If possible, how can I create a pop-up that has the new user fields for members to update before they go any further?
