If I understand your request correctly, I had asked for something very similar earlier:
and it seems to have been implemented:
but then disappeared again?
Problem with indenting is that a theme can have multiple parents. Should the child theme appear indented under all of its parent themes? I think that could be confusing.
Personally I’m in favor of some simple indicator (like an icon) that says “hi! I’m a child theme”.

I thought we had the “puzzle piece” metaphor here, indicating that some items in the list are smaller pieces intended to fit into a larger whole.
