Custom CSS: grouping

(Barry van Oudtshoorn) #1

When you look at the list of custom CSS, it’s essentially a long flat list:

I’d like to propose that child themes are indented by ~20px under their parent, so that it’s clear what the relationship is:

Thoughts?

If I understand your request correctly, I had asked for something very similar earlier:

and it seems to have been implemented:

but then disappeared again?

Problem with indenting is that a theme can have multiple parents. Should the child theme appear indented under all of its parent themes? I think that could be confusing.

Personally I’m in favor of some simple indicator (like an icon) that says “hi! I’m a child theme”.

I thought we had the “puzzle piece” metaphor here, indicating that some items in the list are smaller pieces intended to fit into a larger whole.
