Custom post types failing to update associated Discourse posts

@angus, it’s possible another PR is in order. We’re experiencing Discourse publishing errors when updating our WordPress events with WordPress v5.9.1 and the WP-Discourse plugin v2.4.0.

I recorded a quick video so you can recreate the issue on your end.

Here’s the automated email from WordPress about the Discourse publishing failure:

Reason for failure:
A 400 response code was returned from Discourse.

Thanks for the detailed video @JoelZaslofsky. This is a different issue from the one being discussed in that other topic, so I’ve moved it to a new topic. I’ll take a look at it in depth tomorrow.

*update: merged. 2.4.1 is now live.

Angus, I think there’s a good chance this is what was affected us as well. I’ll wait a bit to see if things are stable with 2.4.1 and push it out over the next few days to confirm.

It’s true. I just tested with version 2.4.1 and the original issue I documented in this forum thread is fixed. Thanks Angus!
