Default theme on existing install

How can I install the default Discourse theme? Is there a link to it on the forums/website?

I really like these icons:

I’m not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for, but maybe it’ll help you??

I guess I’m looking even just for the icons and scheme in the screenshot I included. How can I get colors and icons close to that?

I think if you want to install the default Discourse theme, log in as an admin and go to Admin, Customize, and Themes. Select Install and choose Default from the list. Once installed, set it as the default, and you’re all set! You can also add custom tweaks with theme components if desired.

Thank You,
Mike Taku.

I think you are asking about the color scheme here, not the theme. It’s the WCAG light color palette. You can use it with different themes as long as you make the color scheme selectable.

The icons are just the default Discourse icons used everywhere. If by icons, you mean the avatars in the menu, those are controlled by this admin site-setting:

Did that change from:

enable_new_notifications_menu?

This solves it for me. Thanks so much! I think seeing the actual avatars gives a more “community” feel for less active forums like mine.

One other issue I have is this:

I can’t delete 2 of the Color Palettes. I even tried unselecting them as being actively used but still would allow deleting.

I think that’s because it comes from a remote theme. If it’s your theme then you can change/remove color scheme in the theme about.json file.

Or you can disable these and add custom color schemes to the theme in admin.
If it’s not your theme and you want to remove it then I think it’s only possible with removing the theme.

you should be able to just duplicate that scheme, then make what changes you want to it, and then change the color scheme to your new one in the theme color palette field. (I know your forum isn’t using selectable dark/light schemes). even if a theme is remote, you can still change the color scheme it is using. you shouldn’t need to delete an existing color scheme. looks like you’ve duplicated it a few times though.

Yes, I tried to duplicate, but then I can’t delete the unused. It’s killing my OCD just watching them sit there. haha
