Did something icon-related update overnight? For some reason, the icons on my production environment changed overnight, but they remain the same on my staging environment. See the category and navigation icons. All settings should be the same between the two, and I didn’t push an update on either. The new ones are more of an outlined version. New, that was automatically pushed to my production: [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 08.51.15] Old (and still on my staging): [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 08.52.06] Any leads?

Hi @putty, Yes, I think it is related. Previously, the default was regular, but now it is solid. Also, the Fontawesome Pro plugin had a bug that didn’t allow the classic regular style to be selected; it was showing the classic solid style instead. This should be fixed by changing the fa icon style to solid. I am OOO today but let me know if it works for you or you have any questions.

Hmm… are you using the Discourse FontAwesome Pro plugin?

I was about to mention the switch to FA7 too. [image] Discourse FontAwesome Pro Plugin Hi everyone, I have updated this plugin to work with FontAwesome v7 I will be updating the docs shortly

We are, and I did check that. We have it set to Classic: [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 09.15.07] Which is that original “full” icon: [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 09.17.14] Also, my category icons are using the native Discourse icons set (unless the above TC switches things around) Production: [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 09.16.00] Staging: [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 09.16.47]

That brought back my original icons, thanks @Juan_David_Martínez! The only loose end, which I assume is related to this, but I’m not sure how/why, is that my nav bar is still wonky: [CleanShot 2025-11-05 at 10.51.51] It’s fine in my staging, where the icons never changed, but they’re misaligned in my production ever since the icon update. I can fix it quickly in CSS, but just a weird PSA.

That might be related to the changes in https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/35661

Yep, that was it. Thanks @Moin!
