Disable registration, still allow conversation

Is there a way with Discourse to allow posts from users who have not created an account, or if possible disable registration entirely, but still allow posting?

I’ve moved to discourse from Simple Machines, and something I liked was allowing certain boards to be posted to without registration for guests, and I’m not sure if I’m just missing an option somewhere or if allowing posting from anyone, logged in or not, isn’t a Discourse option.

Afraid not. Users must be registered with an in order to post.

You can configure Discourse to work like a mailing list where users have staged accounts and they can post and reply by email, but anyone visiting the site must register in order to post.
