Discourse Plugin to Add Community Activity to Homepage

I run a (paid) membership only community using Discourse & I’m trying to think up a better user experience for people who haven’t signed up yet.

The main problem is people can’t see how active the community is until they’ve gone through the sign-up process. Pretty much all of the posts are hidden so it’s very hard to see if the community is thriving, or dead in the water.

A possible approach could be to have a graph of activity (daily post number for example) at the bottom of the homepage. Potential users could then see that yes, stuff is happening & go through the sign-up process to join.

Does this functionality, or similar already exist as a plugin?

I think you can use these data to plot graphs. Or display as numbers!

Do you think it should be at the beginning of the head line or a column at the bottom of the page?
