A number of our users, having previously used listserv and forum software that was email based such as Lyris or Groups.io have been frustrated that email digests do not meet the expectations that they had around how those have worked on other systems.
My understanding is that OOTB, Discourse only sends digests when the user has not visited during the digest send interval (daily, weekly, etc). We would like to be able to configure digests to send according to the set period regardless of whether someone had visited the forum during that time.
If anyone can advise we would greatly appreciate it.
