Not sure if it is a bug or at least configurable, but I would like to get rid of these nonsense emoji codes in the topic titles in emails (e.g. :bangbang:):
It just makes no sense, especially for non-English forums.

Hmm yeah this is a case where the title-to-Emoji code needs to be called @zogstrip.
