I was reading in one of the posts that Discourse is like a dinner party where people have fun and bring up various topics for discussion, unlike organisations that have a streamlined agenda.
Now, people do come from diverse backgrounds and diverse geographical locations. Obviously the user experiences are bound to be diverse.
My question is does Discourse have the ability to house and handle this pluralistic diversity in discussions ?
In what way? Users can create topics about a central theme, then others can reply relating to that theme. Anyone can reply. Could you elaborate on what you mean?
You have moderation tools like topic timers, slow mode and flagging if discussion gets too out of hand or rude.
You have likes and reactions to facilitate a healthy discussion space, as encouragement or to agree with certain ideas.
By Discourse, l was actually referring to this particular community. I need to do a lot of studies first in order to develop mine. It’s actually in a conception stage as you can see.
