I noticed that “Navigate to first post after topics are read” does not always work when the category is not added to the sidebar. So I think it is because of lazy loaded categories.
- Remove Contributing from your sidebar
- Read Contributing to Discourse development so you should be taken to the top at your next visit. (I would pin it if it’s unpinned to better find it later)
- Open Contributing to Discourse
- Reload
- Use the link to Contributing below the title
- Open Contributing to Discourse Development
Then you see the last post instead of the first
It works as expected when Contributing is added to the categories section of the sidebar
