Il y a donc un problème avec la quantité de mémoire virtuelle. Il ne s’agit pas strictement de la RAM, mais vous avez soit besoin de plus de RAM, soit de plus de swap. Ou, éventuellement, vous devez changer la politique du noyau.

Soit dit en passant, il y a parfois eu un changement malheureux dans le logiciel Discourse, et il est très utile de pouvoir retracer ce qui s’est mal passé, ce qui peut aider d’autres personnes.
Parfois, vous pourriez simplement avoir besoin d’une solution rapide, sans enquête ni explication. Dans ce cas, votre fournisseur d’hébergement peut vous donner l’option réversible de passer temporairement à une instance beaucoup plus grande : 8G ou 16G de RAM, vous pouvez alors procéder à l’étape problématique, puis revenir à l’instance peu coûteuse avec laquelle vous avez commencé. Cela peut ne vous coûter que quelques centimes supplémentaires, tant que vous revenez à l’instance précédente dans l’heure ou deux qui suivent. Je l’ai fait moi-même, et en fait, cela pourrait être la nouvelle norme pour moi.
