Looks promising, thanks for these changes. I still can’t use it until the interface scale bug I reported a few months ago is fixed though, it’s way too huge on my phone screen.
I don’t have this issue at all, why don’t u select a different theme? I’m using default and it’s fine…
What is your system zoom set to? Could be perspective.
I think I made this comment before but you are not supposed to use desktop mode on mobile, it’s not designed for mobile screens
It’s equally as small if I turn desktop mode off, it’s just my system zoom level. Desktop mode is not changing the zoom.
This looks fine to me, I’m not sure what the issue is at this point. If you want bigger text, increase your iOS font size.
My issue is that it’s way more zoomed in on the hub app unlike the PWA because the app isn’t respecting my system zoom setting (which is smaller than the default). I want the hub app to scale down as per my settings, not have the PWA scale up.
I moved the discussion about font size on iOS Discourse Hub to its own topic so hopefully it can be resolved here.
I have an iphone too and don’t see the problem @darkpixlz is describing and has screenshotted above.
What theme do you have selected in the sidebar, for meta?
yes it is.
Ah, ok. I was hoping you were stuck on an experimental theme on dev.
Do you also have this same problem on other sites?
yes it is.
Try setting it to something like 75-50 (or 150)%, then open the PWA and hub app and you’ll see my problem. The PWA respectc the setting while the app does not.
also yeah it’s happening on every site, devforum.roblox.com pictured bc i happened to have it on a pwa
OK… I can see now that in safari, the zoom level changes while in the hub app the zoom level does not change.
I guess this is a bug in the app that @pmusaraj can take a look at?
Or maybe it’s a limitation of how apps like this work. I also noticed that when I installed the hub app on my laptop the font size is fixed at a too-small-to-be-usable zoom level.

I’m not sure how the app is made but it should be respecting the setting if it was rendering directly with a safari API? I haven’t done any iOS dev so I’m just kinda making things up but I’d assume that’s how it’s meant to work.

If it’s a Mac I’d assume you can just command(? i’m not a mac user) plus-minus to change the zoom like on normal websites
Couldn’t you set the font size smaller in Discourse itself as an alternative? I usually have mine set to “Smaller”.
IMO if an app respected a browser setting I’d personally get annoyed because that app isn’t my browser

You would think so but this does not work.

Well discovered! Now that is thinking outside the box!

Agreed.
