It looks like the popular links are populated once a user clicks on a link for the first time. Can I moderate this? I would like to remove certain links but keep others. I couldn’t seem to find anything from searching.
Hi! and welcome,
I’m not aware of such a feature.
Do you imagine something per topic? Or maybe a parameter like allowed link domains
that would be excluded domains from popular links
(applied to every topic)?
Hiya @TC88!
Let’s try adding an external link and then removing it. It will take me a couple of replies, bear with me.
Did you know we grade flour by burning it and seeing what’s left?! Read up on it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flour
.
Now I’m going to post this and click that link!
First, I added a link and clicked on it, and then it showed up as a popular link on this topic:
Then I edited the reply and removed the link, and it removed it from the topic listing:
And so the solution to remove popular links is to literally remove the links from the discussion.
If I wanted to remove certain links while retaining the info, I’d add backticks (`) on either side.
I read `https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flour`!
Becomes:
I read
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flour
!
And removes the link from the popular links list.
Hope that helps!
Amazing. Thanks for the help!
