How do I archive a Group and it attached catagory?

I would like to know if there is an option like archiving a Group rather than deleting it? If so, how do I go about doing this?

:thinking: the best I can think of would make it visible only for owners (and remove them)

Same for the category (within the security tab) Iā€™d make it visible only for staff

I am also looking to shut down a number of groups that have become inactive, but still keep the archival discussions which I or others may want to revisit in the future.

I do so see how changing the interaction settings can accomplish this archived state in effect. I think it would be a nice improvement if there were a single button to close and/or archive a group (and the same option for associated categories), similar to how one is able to close and/or archive topics.
