After enabling the Assign plugin I cannot find how to add the Assign button to the post menu. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it related to this update that Assign is not available in the Post menu settings? Upcoming post menu changes - How to prepare themes and plugins
Does it appear in the topic action buttons? Or does it not display anywhere?
Check the assign allowed on groups site setting and set it to trust_level_0 also?

Is it possible to put the assign button between the like and bookmark icons, so that it is not needed to click on the three dots anymore?
You’re looking for the Post menu hidden items site setting. That allows you to arrange the buttons and remove the ellipsis completely if you want

I am seeing it here, wondering if you enabled assign on posts in the plugin and if you are running latest Discourse?

Removing all items from post menu hidden idems could be a solution to show the Assign item.
However – is it possible to add assign to the post menu settings? I cannot find it there. I still want to hide some items from the menu.
Discourse 3.4.1 is the version that’s running.

It’s not possible. These settings only apply to core buttons.
The ones added by plugins cannot be configured this way.
