I have a self hosted Discourse instance. I am running out of disk space. I need to get a new storage volume. Is there a guide to adding in extra space to run Discourse?
There’s two things you might be doing. One is scaling up your host, something your provider probably allows in a web interface. The details will depend on your provider. The other is using external storage, such as S3 or an S3 compatible service. I think those are inherently scalable (with pricing according to usage) so the question would be about migrating to s3 compatible storage.

Edit: maybe there’s a third thing you might be doing, adding a storage volume to your host. That’s also a hosting provider thing. Perhaps see Move Uploads and Backups to DigitalOcean Block Storage. Hetzner calls these Volumes.
