You don’t need to do anything… just have consistently relevant content. You can’t game SEO.

A while back there was a post on this site or perhaps a blog or something (can’t find at present) about trust level 3 users getting Have all their links followed (we remove automatic nofollow) but then Google changed the following of links.
On the site I am admin, I grant trust level 3 to users that post high quality content, even if it is their first post because my hope is that it in the Google search engine rules it will somehow bump a quality rating for our site.
I know this post has one foot related to what the OP asked, but one foot in starting a different topic, so feel free to split into a new topic or delete.
