I have a couple of users whose email addresses have become unreachable, so Sidekiq fills up with 450 Message not queued: recipient is suppressed errors when trying to send their digests.
I can message them and hope they log in to see it, and then I’m inclined to turn off their digest preference – but I’m wondering if I’m missing any better approach here. I didn’t turn up anything in a search.
Update/tip: apparently these user addresses were once temporarily unreachable – my email provider recorded hard bounces and placed them in a suppressions list. When I cleared these records from the suppressions list, subsequent emails were successful.
(I’ll leave my original question, as this could certainly have been a more permanent situation.)
