I’m wondering if the logs report when an inactive user is removed. This relates to the clean up inactive users after days setting found here: /admin/site_settings/category/all_results?filter=inactive

Answered my own question with a quick look on my own. Yes, you can see when a user is deleted for being inactive.
Hop into Admin | Logs, filter for delete user and look in the Context column for “Inactive user”.
Bam.
