Is it possible to change the background color of (only) the home page?

We’d like to change the background color of
only our home page to black (white font)
while leaving
all other pages “white” (with back font)–the standard style setting.

Is there an easy CSS-way to do this?

PS: we have found a fix. If anybody is interested, the great guys at Pavillion have helped make it happen (script needed)
