Issue with the Visibility of Closed/Archived Posts in Search Results

I have identified a serious issue on the forum affecting the visibility of closed or archived posts. Although these posts are accessible and visible to users, they do not appear in search results, even when sorted by views or searched by title.

For example:

  • The post Felicitación de Navidad 2025 has 115 views and 24 likes but does not appear in general searches.

  • The most viewed posts according to the current search results are:

    • 2024: Resumen del año – 81 views

    • 2025: Resumen del año – 22 views

This behavior could lead to users being unable to find relevant content, especially if important posts are closed or archived. We suggest reviewing the indexing settings for posts to include them in searches or adding a filter to allow their display.

That’s odd. Closed and archived topics can still be found here on Meta. Could this be a plugin affecting this behaviour?
