This mid-senior position is a full-time, salaried, on-site job in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of custom plugins and theme components. They will maintain their code across system updates, provide support for site administrators and moderators, and work with stakeholders to provide scalable solutions for new feature requests.
Qualified candidates must have:
Working knowledge of Ruby, EmberJS, Postgres, Handlebars and JavaScript, and be able to demonstrate proficiency developing and deploying custom Discourse plugins and theme components.
Familiarity with W3C standards and mobile best practices.
Working knowledge of web server architecture and protocols (FTP, SSH).
1-2 years professional experience.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Git/svn a plus.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle preferred.
Must submit portfolio of live sites or apps for consideration. Please include a link to any relevant GitHub repositories if available.
Must be willing to relocate if necessary.
